¶ Locations
Viridian people are those humans who have settled along the shores of the Viridian Sea, particularly the southern shores around Essodan, Parados, and the commoners of Tamiriya.
¶ Appearance
Most humans native to the region surrounding the Viridian Sea share a common genetic makeup that is suited to the physical labors of farming and hunting that make up the bulk of life in these areas. They have normal to bulky builds, often well-muscled, with medium skin tones. Eye color is commonly brown or hazel with little variation. Hair coloring tends toward shades of brown, though some darker blond variations are seen. Beards are easily grown by most men.
Males are typically slightly taller and heavier, commonly around 5'9" to 6' with few individuals over that. Woman tend to be 5'4" to 5'10". A rural, healthy, non-noble Viridian (who survived infant mortality), who then avoids combat, plague, and monsters has an average life span of about 50.
¶ History
Scholars and common folk seem to agree that the Viridian stock of people originated on the west side of the Viridian Sea, likely in Tamiriya or somewhere beyond. To be sure, western lands contain older cities and nations full of people who look like the locals in Essodan which lends support to the idea.
