The Viridian Sea stretches roughly 500 miles northeast to southwest, 350 miles in the opposite direction. Called such for it's dark, greenish waters, it is both slightly saltier than waters to its north and south, and higher in mineral content.
Most of the sea is shallower than land dwellers might expect, with seasonally strong winds that make sailing traders quick across the waters. The Viridian bridges the seas of the north and the great oceans of the south, with port cities like Axiandos and Assetallis the beneficiaries in their "halfway" positions.
