¶ Story
Zoya is a sky elf druid of the Greenrise Order and an investigator of unnatural deaths. Though about seventy years old, she is only just into adulthood by sky elf reckoning. She usually wears a plain, collarless wool coat over linen, with a small, asymmetrical gold-and-emerald medallion at her throat.
Zoya is known for asking witnesses what they saw before asking what they think it means. She combines field medicine and knowledge of decay with primal magic, and is particularly skilled at distinguishing what killed someone from what happened to the body afterward. She took Diggory Stillgrove under her wing after the plague at Warmkettle, and the two went on to consult on difficult deaths. She also mentors Yargo, a gnome druid of the Greenrise Order.
In 1628 ASP, Zoya disappeared while investigating signs that the Old Keeping’s influence might be spreading. In her last letters to Diggory, she urged him to return to Saaruven but gave no details of what she had found. By the time he arrived, her house had been ransacked and her research was gone. Her whereabouts remain unknown.
