¶ Story
Zdiska grew up in the hills on the frontier of Essodan, in the town of Imrick. Smarter than most, and sponsored by Duke Garendane, she was placed at the The Crowned Collegium of Measured Flame - the royal academy for the training of wizards. It was only after a few years there that she learned anyone trained by their methods is considered to be owned by the crown, and that graduates were not free -- they are tools.
A rare few wizards ever manage to overcome the magical constraints laid upon them by the Crowned Collegium. Zdiska was somehow able to do so not long after her graduation to full mage and her placement in a crown role in Kerek Rock. After breaking those bounds, she quietly made her way back home to Imrick to check on her family, not sure what she would do next. She made her way to Kingsmark in order to be another few steps away from the capital yet close to family.
Quadrani, the Marshall of the Queen's Spellvexxers, followed her trail to Kingsmark but was unable to locate her for "correction." Afterward, Lord Savatri offered her a role as his private house wizard, a position that she hoped would appear to communicate her intention to adhere to her vows and hopefully stand down the search for her.
Following the death of Savatri, Zdiska brought the news of their outlaw status to the Red Stone Mercenary Company, meeting them in Imrick at the request of Virris.
