Bitaro met the Red Stone Mercenaries as they escorted a load of iron ore from Cragshadow to Krizhan. Stopping them in the road near Middelswell, he warned the group of something askew at the inn. Later he saw them in Krizhan asked them to come to Kereth to possible meet an acquaintence who might hire them.
During a discussion over drinks, Bitaro related that he grew up an orphan boy on the streets of Kereth. He was almost drowned and killed by older street thugs as a teenager but was rescued by Hannarth Lovric. After retrieving the Unbending Rod of Vigilance (a religious heretic named Serrek), Bitaro facilitated the meeting, and also introduced them to Saravikra who Finch needed information from.
