Edwin as 'Calin", c. Summer 112EA
Associations: : Red Stone Mercenary Company
Home Region: Duchy of Ravna Valley
Edwin Aaronson's family owned a rather successful vineyard near Drevon. Edwin didn't care for grape farming and took up the mantle of black sheep of the family. Edwin was the youngest of 6 siblings who were already infighting over who would inherit the estate, so he knew that there would be very little of his family fortune in his future.
As a teen, he started associating with low-level members of the local thieves guild. Eventually, he started working small muscle jobs for the guild, with hopes of working his way up the ladder to achieve full guild membership. Edwin was cocky though, making his equals in the guild dislike him, and he was ambitious, making the higher ups in the guild distrust him. Eventually, he was put on a crew working a smuggling operation. Edwin used his family's estate as a holding area for some of the smuggled goods only to be set up. Local authorities arrested Edwin and other members of his family including his father. Someone had paid the guild to set up Edwin's father as part of a plot to take over the vineyards and used Edwin as a patsy.
Edwin was soon broken out by two guild operatives. After they got him out of the city though, Edwin learned that those operatives were there to silence him. Edwin got away from them by pure luck and traveled up the Ravna River as far as his money could take him before joining the military in Krizhan to hide out.
While on a military scouting mission, Edwin came across the drowned body of a man named Edgerrin Austero. Not above robbing a corpse, he was soon going through the man's belongings. There he found coded documents identifying Edgerrin as a guild operative on some kind of covert mission. There was a map, indicating the location of a cache of treasure. The map has no names or landmarks identified and only vague notes, making it useless so far. Edwin stole the man's gear, his Ferrymen credentials, the map, and went AWOL from the military.
Edwin spent months passing himself off as Edgerrin, using his new identity to try to learn clues to the treasure's location. Meanwhile, he tried to stay ahead of his family, the military he deserted, and the guild itself, all of whom will want him dead if his true identity is discovered.

Edwin as Edgerrin, c. Spring 112EA
In spring of 112EA, "Edgerrin" made his way to Imrick after agreeing to a questionable job with Kalinik and Oslad. With few details in hand, Edgerrin was well-paid just to keep an eye on a couple of locals in Imrick. Just as boredom was setting in, the Red Stone Mercenary Company arrived on their own expedition to locate Duke Garendane, recruiting Edgerrin for his talents to help infiltrate Castle Garendane.
After concluding the mission and reporting to Lord Savatri in Kingsmark, Edgerrin remained in the company of the Red Stones, soon being regarded as an equal member.
