Called Bloodmark by uneducated locals, this once great city looked to the heavens for answers... and received only punishment. Its ancient temple served a sacred purpose: to discern Fate, interpret prophecy, and guide those who trusted their lives to both. But a minion of the Everfire fell upon it -- a terrible and ancient dragon whose onslaught devastated communities and fractured the faith, scattering a people and ending a nation.
Twelve centuries later, the Bloodmark still stains the ground. They say it marks the place where the dragon fell. Above it stand the remnants of a city whose influence traveled far beyond its walls. And beyond it stands the resurrected remains of the lower city.
Here, an old inscription can matter as much as a buried treasure. A recovered record might restore a family’s history, challenge a sacred teaching, or give someone powerful a reason to prevent your return. All of is overseen by the unlikely Decemvirate, twelve keepers of order from the rare race, the Urde. But it's exactly this leadership that makes Fayarshakin a welcoming place to all races, people, and faiths.
Strange and dangerous ruins trace the workings of forgotten arts, and stories of the ancient Khodavri are still whispered here at their source. Seek knowledge among the remains of grandeur, where discovery carries obligations and the revelations that have already cost generations dearly. With the threat of a growing hobgoblin kingdom to the south, the future of Fayarshakin could bear a striking resemblance to its past.
